How did Chick-fil-A get its start?
In 1946, S. Truett Cathy, our founder, and his brother Ben opened The Dwarf Grill, a tiny restaurant
in Atlanta. That restaurant did well throughout the years, which helped Truett expand the
success of his company. Truett established the original Chick-fil-A restaurant in 1967, and
it was located in Atlanta's Greenbriar Shopping Center. The Truett family has
carried on his legacy of leadership with his son Dan serving as the company's
CEO in 2013 and his grandson Andrew leading Chick-fil-A at the moment.
